Noble Correctional Release Outcomes
Noble Correctional Institution is a minimum and medium-security adult men's prison operated by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. It is physically in Noble County, but the Noble County Sheriff's Office does not control its prisoner releases. The state record follows a person who moves to another ODRC institution, enters Adult Parole Authority supervision, receives judicial release, or reaches a released status.
Three outcomes must stay separate. A transfer changes the institution while incarceration continues. “APA Supervision” shows that physical prison custody ended and ODRC supervision continues. “Released” is a separate filter, and its precise meaning should be read with the detail record. A sentence can also include parole eligibility, post-release control, or another legal status that survives the prison gate.
| ODRC result | Meaning for release | Next check |
|---|---|---|
| Incarcerated | State physical custody continues | Current institution and sentence detail |
| APA Supervision | Released from prison under state supervision | Supervision start, period, APA office |
| Released | ODRC reports a released record | Status definitions and Central Records |
| Different ODRC prison | Transfer, not community release | Receiving institution |
The local jail roster is irrelevant to an NCI discharge. It lists current Noble County Jail bookings only. A missing name there neither proves nor disputes release from the state prison.
Confirm a Noble Correctional Release
The official ODRC Offender Search covers people who are incarcerated, under departmental supervision, or judicially released. An offender number gives the cleanest search. A name can work, but common names require comparison with birth information, committing county, offense, and docket.
- Open ODRC Offender Search and enter the narrowest reliable identifier. Select All when the present status is uncertain.
- Try the Incarcerated, APA Supervision, and Released filters as needed. Do not search only the live prison population.
- Open the matching detail and verify the ODRC number, committing county, sentence, and institution.
- Record the exact status and the “Expected Release Date/Parole Eligibility Date” label. Do not shorten that dual label into a promise.
- For a past event, look for Supervision Start Date, Period of Supervision, hearing results, POA/PRD date, and the listed APA office.
- Contact ODRC Central Records when the display is unclear, appears wrong, or a formal custody record is required.
An expected or parole-eligibility date is forward-looking. Actual release is better shown by status, supervision start, and an ODRC custody record.
The Noble County released inmates search compares state-prison, county-jail, federal, and ICE paths. That distinction matters here because “Noble inmate” search results can also point to the county jail or to another state with a Noble County.
Noble Correctional Release Fields
An ODRC detail can contain more than a status word. Not every field appears for every person, but the available record may join identity, court, sentence, date, and supervision data. Read the live labels exactly and note the date of the search.
| Field | How it helps |
|---|---|
| Admission date and status | Places the person in the state custody timeline |
| Institution | Separates NCI from another ODRC prison |
| Sentence effective date and jail credit | Explains parts of the calculation |
| Expected Release Date/Parole Eligibility Date | Shows a projection or eligibility point, not a guaranteed exit |
| Latest hearing type and result | Adds Board action without rewriting its label |
| Supervision start and period | Shows release into continuing APA control |
| APA office | Provides the person-specific confirmation path |
Residential county and ZIP are last recorded and can lag. They should not be presented as a live address. The photo is an ODRC correctional image, not necessarily the earlier Noble County booking photo. A same-name photograph may help with identity, but it should never replace identifiers.
The official ODRC search screenshot shows the statewide status filters and search channels used for Noble Correctional Institution release research.

The filters make it possible to look beyond current incarceration and test APA Supervision or Released status for a state-prison case.
Noble Correctional Expected Release Date
ODRC defines “Expected Release Date/Parole Eligibility Date” as either a projected release date or a date pending parole consideration. The distinction is central. Parole eligibility permits consideration under the governing sentence and law. It does not require release on that date. A Board decision, credit change, sentence correction, judicial action, or other lawful event can move the displayed point.
Ohio also uses more than one sentence structure. A definite term, an older parole-eligible sentence, and a Reagan Tokes minimum and maximum term do not share one calculation. Jail-time credit is separate from earned credit. Mandatory portions and statutory exclusions can restrict credit. Ohio has no universal rule that every prisoner serves exactly 85 percent of a term.
- Jail-time credit
- Credit for qualifying confinement before the state sentence, as reflected in the sentencing and ODRC records.
- Earned credit
- A possible reduction tied to statutory eligibility, approved participation, and good standing.
- Parole eligibility
- The point at which an eligible person may be considered, not a promised release day.
- Discharge
- The end of a correctional relationship under the responsible agency's record, not merely exit from a prison building.
When a date seems wrong, compare the court's sentencing entry with ODRC sentence fields. Central Records is the correct state correction path. A rough calendar estimate must not override the official computation or present eligibility as release.
Noble Correctional Records Contact
Official state material places the prison at the following address. The research did not establish public facility phone hours or a release desk number, so none is supplied here. Use ODRC's statewide search for status and its Central Records address for a custody-record question.

For a records inquiry, provide the full name, ODRC number, the precise field or custody event sought, and a useful date range. A request for an existing admission, transfer, release, or supervision record is clearer than asking staff to calculate a sentence from scratch. Parole Board determinations, orders, and minutes have a separate public-record route under OAC 5120:1-1-36, subject to lawful redaction.
VINE can add a person-specific custody alert, but it does not replace ODRC. Match the reporting facility, status phrase, and timestamp. When VINE and ODRC differ, preserve both update times and ask the agency responsible for the event to reconcile them.
Noble Correctional Institution Profile
State reports describe Noble Correctional Institution as a minimum and medium-security adult men's institution with open dormitories. It opened in 1996. A 2025 inspection reported a maximum capacity around 2,600 and a population around 2,400. Those figures are dated snapshots, not a live population count.
The institution's presence creates a local search trap. A result for Noble Correctional Institution belongs to ODRC even though the address says Caldwell. A result for Noble County Jail belongs to the sheriff. The state facility's 2025 sallyport and general renovation projects add local history but do not change the public release-verification path.
A transfer out of NCI may simply move the person to another ODRC institution. Compare the new institution, status, and admission history before using the word released. If a court granted judicial release, the court order shows the authority, while ODRC status and supervision fields show how the state processed it.
Noble Correctional Post-Release Supervision
APA Supervision is strong public evidence that physical incarceration has ended while state control continues. The detail may show the supervision start date, supervision period, residential county and ZIP, and APA office. Use the listed office rather than guessing a field office from Noble County geography. ODRC did not supply a verified statewide directory assignment proving that every Noble County case belongs to one named office.
Parole and post-release control are state correctional supervision. Probation or community control is imposed and managed through a court. A person released from NCI can have a state supervision record and a separate local court matter, but the labels should not be merged. If ODRC lists Violator at Large, do not attempt apprehension. Current warrant confirmation belongs with law enforcement.
Supervision start is retrospective evidence of prison release. It does not prove supervision has ended. For final discharge, obtain the later state status or termination record. Likewise, a past eligibility date does not become release evidence when the current status still says Incarcerated.
Noble Correctional Release Sources
Three official state sources answer different parts of the release question. The ODRC definitions page explains status and date labels. The 2025 state inspection report documents the facility profile and dated population figures. Ohio VINE supplies a person-specific reported custody check or alert. None replaces the ODRC custody record, but each can answer a separate, well-defined question.
